   Nathan3 MERRILL (Abel2) - was born 3 Apr. 1676, in Newbury, Mass., and died in 1742 intestate. He lived in that part of the town which was afterward incorporated as West Newbury. In a deed from his brother Nathaniel in 1721 both are described as weavers. He was a "snowshoe man" in 1706 (see Currier's History of Newbury, page 541). He married, 6 Sept. 1699, Hannah Kent, daughter of John and Sarah (Woodman) Kent of Newbury, who was born 10 Sept. 1679. and died 3 Feb.1735/6. Nathan3 Merrill m. (2), 18 Aug. 1731, Elizabeth (Jackman) Willett, dau. of Richard and Elizabeth (Plumer) Jackman, and widow of Joseph Willett. Children, born in Newbury:

   Henry Knight was a son of Capt. Richard and
   Elizabeth (Jaques) Knight, and was born 6
   July, 1697, in Newbury. Children:
      Nathan, b. 10 Jan. 1724/5; prob. settled in (Knight)
         Gray, Me.
      Hannah, b. 5 Aug. 1727; m. Joseph Pride.
      Samuel, b. 30 Aug. 1729; d. bef. 1790; captain;
         m., 1750, Mary, dau. of Lieut. George Knight.
      Mark, b. 1 July, 1731; m. Mary Johnson.
      Henry, b. 5 Mar. 1733/4; m., 1755, Mehitable
         Sawyer.
      Sarah; m. Zachariah Sawyer.
      Merrill; m. Sarah
      Priscilla, bap. 1740.

         and (2) Mary Whittier.
      Elizabeth, b. 27 Oct. 1739; d. 13 Jan. 1806;
