   ABEL3 MERRILL (Abel2) was born 28 Dec. 1671, in Newbury, Mass., and died 6 Feb. 1759, in West Newbury. He was a deacon of the Congregational Church in West Newbury. He married, 19 June, 1694, in Newbury, Abigail Stevens, daughter of Thomas and Martha (Bartlett) Stevens of Amesbury, who was born 22 Jan, 1673/4, and died 24 May, 1757. (See 29.) Children, born in Newbury (and West Newbury):
