MERRILL (Daniel2)
was born 16 Sept. 1688, in Newbury, Mass. His will was
dated 15 July, 1747, and it was admitted to probate 9
June, 1755. He married (1) 20 July, 1710, Mary Carr, daughter
of James and Mary (Sears) Carr of Newbury and Salisbury,
Mass., who was born 15 Dec. 1678, in Newbury, and died
27 June, 1744, in Salisbury. (*)
He married (2) in Salisbury, Mary Hardy of Kensington,
N.H., who died 4 Nov. 1747, in Salisbury. He was a farmer
and weaver, and lived in Salisbury, where his children
were born, as follows:

p. 86, queries whether the Mary Carr who married Stephen3
Merrill was not a daughter of William and Elizabeth (Pike)
Carr of Salisbury. This Mary Carr was baptised 3 July,
1692. William and James Carr were brothers.
