   Moses3 MERRILL (Daniel2) was born 3 Sept. 1683, in Newbury, Mass., and died 17 Jan. 1756, in Salisbury, Mass., where he had lived from his boyhood. His home was in a section then known as "Pitch Pine plain," a mile and a half from East Salisbury village, on the road leading to Seabrook. He and his wife Mary joined the Congregational Church in Salisbury 21 May, 1710, and he became a deacon of the church. His wife died 15 Dec. 1760. Children, born in Salisbury:

Sarah4, b. 7 Apr. 1706; m. 16 Apr. 1724, in Salisbury,

       Capt. Thomas Bradbury, son of Jacob and
   Elizabeth (Stockman) Bradbury of Salisbury,
   who was b. 16 Aug. 1699; lived Salisbury until
   about 1744, and then removed to Biddeford,
   and afterward to "Narraganset No. 1" (See pp. 144-5.)
   (now Buxton), Me. Capt. Bradbury was one of
   the first settlers of Buxton, and was a distinguished
   soldier and Indian fighter. He
   commanded, in 1748-9, at the block-house on
   the west side of the Saco River, half a mile below Union
   Falls. Children:

      Jacob, bap. 15 Sept. 1728; m. Abigail Cole of
         Biddeford.

      Samuel, b. 1733.
      Thomas, b. 1735; m. Ruth Page of Salisbury;
         lived Buxton; lieutenant in Revolution.
      William, b. 1738; m. Susanna Hopkinson;
         lived Buxton.
      Sarah, b. 1739; m. 1763, Joseph Leavitt of Buxton.
      Mary, bap. 1744, in Salisbury; m. 5 Nov. 1767,
         Samuel Sands of Buxton.
      Benjamin, bap. Apr. 1744, in Biddeford; d. 1834;
         m. 9 July, 1767, Mary Elden of Buxton; removed
         to Ohio in 1800.
      Mercy, bap. 1746; m. John Appleton of Buxton.
      Jabez, bap. 1749, in Biddeford.
