   John3 MERRILL (Daniel2) was born 7 Oct. 1674, in Newbury, Mass., and died 17 Jan. 1756, in Salisbury, Mass., where he passed most of his life. He is described as a house carpenter, was a soldier in 1710, and was a deacon of the church in Salisbury. The inventory at his death showed real estate to the amount of £343, 6s. 8d.; personal estate, £51, 5s. 10d. He married Mary Allen, daughter of Capt. John and Mary (Pike) Allen of Salisbury, who was born 27 Dec. 1681, and who survived him. Children, born in Salisbury:
