   Isaac3 MERRILL (John2) was born 11 Mar. 1681/2, in Hartford, Conn., and died in 1742 in West Hartford. He moved from Hartford to West Hartford after 1719. He married, 2 May, 1706, Sarah Cook, daughter of Noah and Sarah (Nash) Cook of Northampton, Mass. Children, the first six of whom at least were born in Hartford:

  iii. Isaac4, b. 9 Mar. 1711/12; d. young.
 
  66 iv. Eliakim4, bap. 8 Aug. 1714.
 
  v. Joseph4, bap. 2 Dec. 1716; d. without issue before 1749.
 
  vi. Sarah4, bap. 24 May, 1719; d. 16 Nov. 1785; m. 8 May, 1746,
       Matthew Clark, Jr., of Farmington, Conn.; lived in Farmington;
   he was b. 19 Dec. 1719, and d. 1 Nov. 1792.
 
  vii. Esther4, bap. 19 Nov. 1721. (An Esther Merrill
       m. 2 Dec. 1756, in Farmington, Conn., Lot Norton.)
 
  viii.     Isaac4, bap. 21 Jan, 1728; d. before settlement of his father's estate
       in 1749.
