Benjamin & Jemima (Smith) Merrill, of the Jersey Settlements; making the dangerous & weary trip to N.C. sometime between the years 1751-1756, settling in Rowan Co., now Davidson Co. This family also has descendants in Jennings, Ripley, Washington & Howard Cos., Indiana. Soft. from Selby Publishing.
