"Steve,

   Just wanted to clear up last weeks article in the Cullman Times. The Cullman Times did not accurately report what Mayor Jack Sides signed last week.  Mayor Sides signed the permit (not a contract) to build the project issued by our Permit Section. The permit gives the City of Cullman the green light to build the project. It does not obligate them to build it. However, a Memorandum of Agreement is being drafted by the city to have the Corps do the construction management. This will be more of a contract when signed by both parties. We will set up a resident construction management staff to oversee and manage the Contractor's day to day operations.
